Wenmiao received her MA in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago in 2021 and MSSc in Global Political Economy from CUHK in 2019. Her research examines the dynamic relationship between authoritarian politics and individuals’ preferences and behavior, with a regional focus on China. She is interested in using a mixed-method approach to explore the social, spatial, and psychological interactions that shape one’s attitudes, identities, and even behavior. Prior to joining CUHK, Wenmiao worked at the University of Hong Kong and the Education University of Hong Kong.
